Fipronil 0.6% w/w GR is recommended for application along with sand (@ 50 kg sand/ha) at the time of initial infestation of the insect pest. Method of application: Recommended dosage for granule should be broadcasted as sand mix using a hand-operated granule applicator or mechanical dispenser. Standing water of 2-3 cm depth should be available in the field to keep water impounded for 2-3 days after application.

Handle with care. While handling the product, wear personal protective clothing, rubber gloves, rubber boot, safety glasses, and face masks. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. After each spraying wash hands and exposed parts of the body thoroughly. Avoid drinking, eating, or smoking during spraying.

In severe intoxication cases nausea, vomiting profuse sweating and agitation may be observed.

1. The packages containing insecticides shall be stored in separate rooms or premises, away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles, or shall be kept in separate rooms/almirahs under lock and key depending upon the nature and quantity of the insecticide. 

2. The rooms or premises meant for storing insecticides shall be well-built, well-lit, dry well ventilated, and of sufficient dimensions to avoid contamination with vapor/air.

First Aid Ingestion  Do not induce vomiting unless advised by the attending physician. If the patient is alert and conscious rinse the mouth with water Give 1-2 glasses of water. Inhalation keeps the patient away from the place of the incident Loosen the clothes. If the patient is not breathing give mouth-to-mouth breathing or artificial respiration. Eyewash with plenty of water at a normal temperature at least for 15 minutes. If redness pain and irritation occur. Call the eye specialist immediately Skin - wash thoroughly, with plenty of water. If symptoms of irritation and blistering occur, call the skin specialist immediately. 

Antidote No specific antidote is known. Give symptomatic treatment.
